>> good morning, everyone. thanks nor joining us. i'm carolyn tyler. let's start with a quick first look at the weather. here's our meteorologist, lisa argen. >> hi there, carolyn. good morning, everyone. here's a live shot from julyner peek. you see some of the cloud cover out there. this is post frontal cloud cover because the front has pass the well into the central valley. live doppler 7 hd showing now we have more high clouds around the north bay and even fog and chilly conditions with numbers in the middle 40s. but the rest of the day we will see partial clearing and temperatures cooler with upper 50s at the coast with lower 60s in our warmest areas around the bay. tonight we continue the dry scenario. numbers will be cool but we have a little more rain to talk about before thanksgiving. i'll have that forecast for you coming up. carolyn. >> thank you, lisa. >> developing news on a deadly shooting in a menlo park neighborhood. homicide detectives have been working all night k into the morning on ivy drive where a man was shot to death last night. abc7 news reporter kera clappe

>> good morning, everyone. thanks nor joining us. i'm carolyn tyler. let's start with a first quick look at our weather. rather chilly. here's our meteorologist, lisa argen. >> hi, everyone. here's a high definition shot from our emeryville camera. it is nice and sunny, but numbers have dropped into the 30s in the north and east day valleys. the frost advisory has been allowed to expire. numbers coming up and we look for temperatures anywhere from two to four degrees warmer today. still keeps us below the arrange for this time of the year but we will see some more 60s today. another cool night ahead. looks like tonight won't be as cold as what we've experienced the past couple nights. with a warmer night tonight, we are on our way to warmer averages. i'll tell you how warm and there is still rain in the forecast. we will check it out later, carolyn. >> thank you, lisa. >> developing news from indianapolis. a second home is in ruins, more than lee dozen neighboring homes suffered damage from collapsed walls to blown-out windows. authorities say the gas and electricity were shut off'

thanks for joining us. i'm carolyn tyler. let's start with a quick look at the weather with our meteorologist lisa argen. >> good morning. emeryville, thighs and sunny. 59 in oakland right now. 62 at sfo. and we are looking at temperatures warming quickly today. in fact, numbers will be anywhere from 4 to 8 degrees above normal. we are looking at temperatures in the city near 70 degrees with lower 80s in our inland east bay. and today begins the warming trend. it should peak tomorrow with temperatures well above normal , perhaps some records. in fact, widespread 80s over the next couple days including election day. but be warned. we are talking about just as dramatic a cool down for the end of the week. >> thank you. developing news this morning. going to your grocery store today could mean crossing a picket line if are you shopping at railly's. the stores throughout california and nevada went on strike at 6:00 this morning after talks broke down. abc7 news reporter kyra clapper joins us live from the railly's in fremont with details on the walkout. good morning. >> good morning

. thanks for joining us. i'm carolyn tyler. let's start with the quick first look at the weather with our meteorologist lease arrange. >> hi there, carolyn. good morning, everyone. here in the north bay up above about 2500 feet you can see all the sunshine. but below the dense fog advisory has been allowed to expire in the north bay. take a look at the visibilities elsewhere. three quarters of a mile in hayward. that's gotten worse but a little better in san jose. mountain view a mile and a half and less than a quarter mile in no sought toe. clear conditions in the east bay. downtown not looking so bad but it will take another hour or two. in fact, the fog is going to sit right there over the bay through about 10:00. then by noontime we are sunny with mainly low to mid-60s around the bay. and looking at more fog tonight. a couple of dry days before the rain returns. carolyn. >> thank you, lease a lisa. the nation's oldest and san francisco's largest toy giveaway of its kind kicks off its latest effort this morning. a 5k run is getting underway right now at crissy field sponsored by th
